What is the Juliet treatment?

 

Juliet is one of the world’s premier resurfacing lasers for treating sun-damaged and aging skin. It can help improve fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and overall skin quality.

 

This unique system treats only a portion of the skin while leaving the surrounding areas intact, resulting in faster healing and less downtime than other devices.

 

Juliet can be customized for use on the entire face and is uniquely effective at treating the delicate areas around the eyes (such as crow’s feet), and mouth.

 

How does the Juliet treatment work?

 

The Juliet handpiece delivers energy in a small grid to the treatment area, treating both the top and deeper layers of the skin, while stimulating your body’s natural creation of new collagen. The superficial layer of your skin will slough off in 3 or 4 days after the procedure, revealing renewed, restored skin. At the same time, lines and wrinkles will continue to be softened for 1-3 months as the skin’s collagen production occurs.

How many treatments are recommended?

 

Most patients see significant improvement after just one treatment. However, Juliet skin resurfacing may also be used with other cosmetic therapies to improve your skin’s appearance. You can discuss these treatment options with your provider.

 

What can I expect during and after treatment?

 

Most patients describe the treatment as feeling like a series of quick, hot pinches. Your provider will likely offer a topical numbing cream to make you more comfortable. Is there downtime after treatment?

 

Following the Juliet treatment, you will be able to return to your normal daily activities right away. However, you may prefer to skip important social events for the first few days after treatment.
